No matter what size you are looking at, there are some important things to consider when setting up your rental. First, does your city require a permit for roll-off dumpster rentals placed in your drive or on the street in front of your home? If not, some homeowner’s associations require permission or talking with the neighbors as an option.
We always suggest putting down plywood to protect your surface! As a roll-off dumpster company, we cannot be held responsible for damaged driveways, sidewalks, landscape, etc. Remember, we are placing a several-thousand pound piece of metal on the ground so it’s possible that damage will occur. Please plan accordingly, by either putting down plywood (which will go underneath the four wheels of the roll-off dumpster) or put it in a location where potential damage is okay.
You will also want to think about what is going to be thrown into the dumpster. Size isn’t the only consideration. The types of things that will be put into the dumpster are also important to research. Heavier, dense items or bulky furniture might require a larger dumpster because of strength. Cement blocks would need a stronger dumpster than light garbage or clutter.
