When considering a dumpster rental, look at not only the size of the project, but also the kinds of materials you will be placing in the dumpster. Size, bulkiness, and density will all play a part in the decision for the size of the dumpster. You’ll also want to look at what items are prohibited. There are regulations of what can and can’t be placed in dumpsters or taken to a landfill/dump area. You’ll also want to look at what is available for placement on your property.
Space might not be the only consideration to keep in mind. Permits might be needed depending on the size or location of where you plan to put the dumpster. It’s always a good idea to contact your city to see about the necessary permits and check with your homeowner’s association as well. We always suggest putting down plywood to protect your surface! As a roll-off dumpster company, we cannot be held responsible for damaged driveways, sidewalks, landscape, etc. Remember we’re dropping a multi-thousand pound piece of metal on the ground, it’s possible that damage will occur. Please plan accordingly, by either putting down plywood (which will go underneath the four wheels of the roll-off dumpster) or put it in a location where potential damage is okay.
