Loading a dumpster can be a little difficult if you don’t have a plan. You want to avoid just throwing stuff in, seeing as there may be weight limits or prohibited items. Without a plan in mind, you may not get your money’s worth. We recommend that you first check with our customer service representatives you find out what restrictions Atlanta may have.

Next, you should load your heavier items first. Concrete, heavy debris, and furniture should be at the bottom to ensure everything is packed down. We also advise that you load from one end of the dumpster to the other. This compacts everything and ensures you get every piece of trash and waste you can fit into your rental.

1) I want to order a dumpster! What do I do next?

• Our friendly and educational staff will get you scheduled, and collect payment over the phone.
• We accept all major debit and credit cards.
• It’s always nice to give us a couple days’ heads up, but if it’s last minute, we can try to squeeze you in.

2) Does the driver know where to put it?

• Our driver will arrive on the day requested. If you provided detailed placement instructions over the phone, no need to be there! If not, our driver will give you a ring when he’s close to ensure the dumpster is dropped in the right location.
• Remember that we’re unloading a multi-thousand pound piece of metal on the ground. Your grass or concrete could be damaged in the process. We always suggest putting down plywood just in case. We’re not held liable for any yard or driveway damage!
• Have a gate or fence? Make sure everything is unlocked, or you give us the code to get in. We’re not locksmiths in our part-time (P.S. traffic, flat tires and bad weather happen. We might be delayed, and could potentially roll over your delivery to the following day. We’ll do everything in our power to avoid that, but just know, it happens!)

3) Who fills up the dumpster?

• You do!
• Have questions about what can and cannot go in it? Don’t hesitate to ask. Just give us a ring, text or email.
• Let’s talk about the obvious: nothing flammable, hazardous or alive. Based on the local landfill, the list might be longer, so give us a ring and we’ll fill you in.

4) I’m all done! What’s next?

• You must notify us if and when you’d like it picked up.
• Some customers keep their dumpster for one day, while others for many years! Make sure you let us know when you’re ready for pickup.
• Make sure nothing is overflowing over the top of the dumpster, and nothing is blocking the dumpster from being picked up. Our heavy trucks aren’t exactly fuel-efficient, so we want to make sure we’re able to pick up the dumpster the first time around.

5) Pick it up already!

• Our driver will come to grab it, removing that pretty hunk of metal off your property. From there, he will head to the local landfill or transfer station.
• “But my troublesome neighbors threw their old couch in it!” Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do about that. Make sure you keep an eye on your dumpster, as the material you stick in it is your responsibility.

6) Not that I care, but what happens to my dumpster after you pick it up?

• Our driver pulls onto a scale to calculate the weight of the load. This is how we’re charged and correspondingly charge you. If you ever have any questions about your weight ticket, don’t hesitate to ask.
• “But it rained! Now my dumpster is full of heavy water!” Not to worry, there are holes in the dumpster that allow water to escape during transit. By the time the dumpster gets to the scale, it’s rid of standing water.
• Because we don’t own the dump or transfer station, it sometimes takes a couple of days to receive the weight ticket. Some dumps are really bad and take up to a month! You might be billed after the fact for your weight.
